This bouclé yarn from Mohair by Canard is super special. The mohair comes from South African Angora herds, and is made from a slightly coarser fibre than Kidmohair - this gives it structure and stability, while remaining very soft!
Bouclé yarn is characterised by the many small loops in the yarn, which makes it perfect for textured and wobbly knits. The generous yardage allows for a number of one-skein projects too.
Mohair by Canard recommends that Bouclé yarn is used for knits which aren't exposed to constant and continuous wear. It is still perfect for many day-to-day items - for example, it is the yarn of choice in the Teddy Pillow by PetiteKnit, the Beanie No5 by My Favourite Things, and the Teddy Vest by Sari Nordlund.
Material: 78% mohair, 13% merino wool, 9% nylon Yardage: 100g/ 170m Weight: DK/ Aran (Depending on gauge) Suggested Needles: 4-6mm Washing instructions: Mohair by Canard advise to hand wash at about 30 degrees, preferably in laundry bag. Can be thrown into the machine at 600 revolutions in a laundry bag. Always use a wool detergent. Must be laid out flat on a towel to dry. The washed knit can be smoothed and possibly stretched a little for resizing.
